SNIA Certified Storage Engineer (SCSE)

ANNOUNCING THE NEW STORAGE NETWORKING MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION EXAM (S10-201)

The SNIA Storage Networking Management & Administration exam (S10-201) is intended for candidates who have mastered the basic storage networking foundations and provide day-to-day management and administration of a storage network environment.  Content includes implementation of upgrades and modifications to all components of a storage network configuration.  It also tests knowledge of protocols, standards, and operations.

New Exam Content:  SNIA Storage Networking Management & Adminstration exam (S10-201)

Migration Strategy for the SNIA SCSE 2009:

• Candidates who have taken the S10-200 exam from July 2008 - November 3, 2008 will be automatically grandfathered into the SNIA SCSE 2009 credential. There will be no need to contact SNIA to make this change.  All 2009 grandfathered credentials have been sent out by SNIA as of Jan 5, 2009.
• Candidates who have the SNIA SCSE 2007 and 2008 can apply the credential to their SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert credential when they meet the additional requirements.
• Candidates who have a SNIA SCSE 2005 credential, must take the SNIA Storage Networking Management & Administration Exam (S10-201) exam to meet the SNIA SCSE credential requirement for the SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert (SCSN-E) credential.

• Passing scored 65%
• 90 minutes worldwide

Exam Registration

The SNIA Storage Networking Management & Administration exam (S10-200/201) is also leveraged in the Storage Manager Track of the Hitachi Data Systems Certification Program.

* Those who have not upgraded their 2004 SNIA SCP certification must take the 2008 SNIA Storage Networking Foundations exam (S10-101) in order to earn the SNIA SCSE, SNIA SCA, or SNIA SCSN-E credentials.

New Storage Networking Standards — Management & Administration E-Course

The Storage Networking Standards – Management & Administration E–Course provides students with the same content as the instructor–led four–day course at a fraction of the cost. The content for this course covers Fibre Channel specific topics for the day to day management of a storage networking environment and data center, and focuses on the objectives defined for the SNIA Storage Networking Management/Administration exam (S10–201).
