“Collaboration: The New Standard of Excellence,” co-authored by ARMA International and the SNIA Data Management Forum discusses the need for collaboration between information technology (IT), legal, security, and records and information management (RIM) professionals, and addresses the complexities involved in managing records and information. Collaboration, as suggested in the paper, is the first step in a comprehensive solution. The paper outlines the value each stakeholder offers to the organization and offers specific best practices to be implemented as a way to regain control and put new value creation back on an equal footing with managing risk.
